As part of the du Maurier International Jazz Festival (now, Vancouver International Jazz Festival), Western Front presented two concerts by the Steve Lacy Sextet.
Led by American soprano saxophonist Steve Lacy, the improvising ensemble also included Jean-Jacques Abenal (bass), Irene Aebi (vocals/violin/piano), Bobby Few (piano), Oliver Johnson (drums), and Steve Potts (saxophones).
Presented in partnership with Coastal Jazz & Blues Society.
