Description:
As part of the du Maurier International Jazz Festival (now, Vancouver International Jazz Festival), Western Front presented a solo concert by pianist Ran Blake.
Blake performed original works alongside compositions by George Gershwin, Federico Mompou, Mary Lou Williams, Stan Kenton, Mal Waldron, Thelonious Monk, Stevie Wonder, George Russell, Bernard Herrmann, Duke Ellington, and Billy Strayhorn.
Presented in partnership with Coastal Jazz & Blues Society.
