Organized by Shelia Delaney and hosted by Stan Persky, this was a three-hour marathon of poetry and music presented in solidarity with Nicaragua. The evening opened with a set by Chilean ensemble Kullay Taripay, who performed a number of traditional Andean songs using zampoña, charango, and traditional percussion instruments. This was followed by readings by Bill Little, Maxine Gadd, Helen Dixon, Peter Anderson with Kim Selavy, Paul Kelley, Stan Rogal, Dr. Doom and the Art Angel, Clemens Rettich, and George Bowering. The evening closed with a performance by The Insomniacs.
