Description:
Electro Traces: Diffusion i Média was a two-part new music concert program led by Montréal-based artists Jean-François Denis and Claude Schreyer of the Diffusion i Média group and electroacoustic label Empreintes DIGITALes.
Night one began with the launch party celebrating Daniel Scheidt’s latest release on Empreintes DIGITALes, ACTION/REACTION. This was followed by a performance of works by Martin Gotfrit and Hildegard Westerkamp.
Night two featured Jacques Drouin performing a piano concerto by Alain Thibaut, percussionist Trevor Tureski in an interactive composition by Scheidt, and Claude Schreyer in a new work for clarinet and electronics.
