Description:

Canada Shadows members Kate Craig, Glenn Lewis, Patrick Ready, Martin Bartlett, Josephin Rigg, and Hank Bull, presented Vis à Vis—a shadow play that featured original songs and dances against several articulated screens, film projections, slides, puppets, and costumes. The performance referenced, in part, what the group called "international words," which drew on vocabularies across French, Italian, German, and Japanese. Speaking in a fusion of languages, the group fashioned conversations inspired by Saturday opera radio broadcasts, complete with a phone-in quiz.
