Description:

Spaceshow was a performance by Dana Atchley in the Grand Luxe Hall that featured a slideshow presentation recounting his three-year-long tour across the continent funded by Canada Council. Atchelty shared stories from his travels and documentation of the evolution of his van, which acted as his living and production space, and became bigger and more elaborate over time. With assistance from Kate Craig, Atchley used two slide projectors on swivel mounts that allowed him to control the images from the stage and switch between double screen and dissolve on the projectors.

Atchley also discussed the founding of Western Front while introducing its core members: Glenn Lewis, who appeared in character as Adolf Hitler; Eric Metcalfe as Dr. Brute; Vincent Trasov as Mr. Peanut; and Pascal, who later performed a musical number with accompaniment by Hank Bull on piano and Dr. Brute and the Brute Saxes.
