Description:
Robert Ashley's operatic works were screened as part of the Vancouver Videopoem Festival.
The works were “The Bank Episode III” of Perfect Lives (1978-80), The Lessons (1981), and Atalanta Strategy (1984).
Ashley discussed these works as a new kind of opera, especially designed and composed for television and related media, and his accomplishments and frustrations with the process.
