Tales of the Old West: The Crystal Mystery

Description:

In this episode of the Lux Radio Players’ show Tales of the Old West, The MacBooty Brothers embarked on an adventure through time and space. Titled “The Crystal Mystery,” the story finds the cowboy duo played by Hank Bull and Eric Metcalfe sometime in the Ceramic Age, flying over the Rocky Mountains in a jet plane. Over the course of the twenty-minute play, they come into the possession of a sacred crystal that sends them on a repatriation adventure that takes them from Calgary to Tofino. 

The performance took place in the Grand Luxe Hall, with a cast that included Robert Amussen, Peter Fraser, Richard Martel, Susi Milne, and Sidney Shadbolt; and narration by Notary Sojac. Kate Craig, Adam Thom, and Cornelia Wyngaarden provided sound effects, and Ann Hepper performed a live score.
