Arawana Hayashi

Bio:

Arawana Hayashi is a dancer, choreographer, and educator based in Cambridge, United States. Her work is informed by Asian and Western movement traditions, and is recognized as one of the foremost contemporary performers of bugaku (Japanese court dance) in the United States. Hayashi’s practice combines interdisciplinary ensemble improvisation, meditation, and social justice.
