Bio:

Okwui Okpokwasili is a choreographer, performer, and writer based in Brooklyn, United States. Her multidisciplinary performances exist at the intersection of theatre, dance, and installation. Interested in stories as markers of presence, absence, perspective, inclusion, and exclusion, Okpokwasili’s work explores cultural and historical memory and how the Western imagination perceives the bodies of African and African-American women.
