John Giorno

Bio:

John Giorno was a poet, performer, and visual artist based in New York City, United States. Working across image and text, his practice was highly collaborative, and took the form of records, publications, and multimedia poetry experiments. A practicing Buddhist and AIDs activist, Giorno’s work explored themes of sexuality, death, transcendence, telecommunications, and his life in New York.
