Power Circus

Location:

Grand Luxe Hall, Western Front

Description:

During the 18th Anniversary Gala and Art Auction, Judy Radul and Andrew Wilson presented Power Circus—a multimedia performance that adopted the structure and showmanship of a circus act. Over the course of fifteen minutes, the artists enacted a series of deliberately unremarkable tricks with absurd props, each punctuated by exaggerated “ta-da” pauses and flourishes. Between these choreographed moments of spectacle, Radul and Wilson inserted dialogue on the nature of power.
