In tribute to Canadian poet bpNichol after his passing, a series of memorial events was held from November 1 to 4, 1990, at Co-op Radio, Simon Fraser Harbour Centre, and Western Front. These four gatherings—a book launch, poetry readings, and artist talks—together formed a kind of “school” devoted to reflecting on and engaging with Nichol’s work.
Western Front hosted A Barrie Nichol School Day, a program moderated by guest editors, scholars, and writers on the work of bpNichol.
