Description:
This concert smudged the lines between classical music and free jazz, creating “instant compositions” with a string trio that enticed with whispering bows, percussive taps, sawing, rattling, and lush melodies. The performers were Hans Burgener (violin), Martin Schuetz (cello), and Barre Phillips (bass).
This event was in partnership with the Vancouver International Jazz Festival with support from Pro Helvetia.
