Location:

Grand Luxe Hall, Western Front

Description:

Gertrude Stein’s Gertrude Stein was a one-woman show by Nancy Cole based on the original writings of Gertrude Stein. Divided into two acts, Cole guided viewers through a selection of Stein’s poems, plays, letters, and songs while in character as the American author. Previously presented at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Gertrude Stein’s Gertrude Stein unfolded in the Grand Luxe Hall on a set composed of a rug, a chair, and a writing desk to emulate Stein’s Parisian apartment and further evoke the writer’s life and work.

Curated by Mary Beth Knechtel.
