Western Front hosted a screening of Mary Ashley’s Eat Your Totems (1974) in the Grand Luxe Hall. Shot from her balcony, the three-hour video work presents a fixed image of the hills of San Francisco beginning at dusk.

Western Front is a non-profit
artist-run centre in Vancouver.
