Re: Union was a week-long Contact Improvisation residency with Jane Ellison, Danny Lepkoff, Nita Little, Curt Siddal, and Nancy Stark Smith. The name of the residency was a reference to Grand Union—the post-modern dance/performance group in New York City which included Steve Paxton, Yvonne Rainer, and Barbara Dilley, and was influential in the development of Contact Improvisation.While in residence, the artists in Re: Union presented workshops in the EDAM studio, which were largely attended by Vancouver-based dancers who were working with Linda Rubin’s company, Synergy.

artist-run centre in Vancouver.
