In Assembly, Brown presented an installation of photographs, found objects, and audio technology that explored the role that photography and language play in both advertising and art documentation, and the frequent occasions upon which their purposes overlap. Through these works, Brown interrogated the function of images and text in both official documents and popular records, while examining the distinct position women have historically occupied in history and advertising.Back to:
