In Kate Craig’s single-channel video Ma, footage from the Mamallapuram Shore Temple in Tamil Nadu, India and Buddhist holy sites in the Himalayan Mountains are juxtaposed with the Scream Machine rollercoaster built for Expo '86. The images are paired with a mesmerizing soundtrack by David Kelln to explore what rituals, both ancient and modern, keep the universe infinitely alive and turning.
