Exhibition

Description:

Richard Estanislao Zulueta’s solo exhibition Humane Society presented a series of large-scale, black-and-white photographs of nude figures in public spaces and industrial settings. Through photo-performance, Zulueta critically engaged the demand for constant, accelerated information processing in a culture dominated by mass media and instant communication.

The exhibition was accompanied by a catalogue essay by Lucy Lippard titled “Up From Under” (1993).
