Heather Keung in Residence

Feb 26 — 27, 2008
Field:

Residency

Description:

Heather Keung visited Western Front and colourschool at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design (now Emily Carr University of Art + Design) as researcher-in-residence.

While in residence, Keung presented an artist talk that introduced the theoretical background of her body of work such as in Handstand (2006), Memorial (2002), and Mr. And Mrs. Chu (2002); and sought critical input on the conceptual development for two new video series, The Little Things, and The Power Of Scale

Keung, in her role as artistic director of Toronto’s Reel Asian International Film Festival, also conducted studio visits with Vancouver-based artists as an open call for consideration for the festival program in November.

Presented in partnership with colourschool.

Western Front is a non-profit
