Description:

KarmetiK Collective created the MahaDeviBot, a percussion robot consisting of an assortment of twelve traditional Indian percussion instruments, including frame drums, bells, finger cymbals, wood blocks, and gongs. The robot also had the capacity to portray tempo to the human performer via a bouncing anthropomorphic head. With the MahaDeviBot, KarmetiK Collective presented a performance that fused Indian classical music with robotics, artificial intelligence, and sonic mosaics.
