Description:

Following the opening of the exhibition What Moves Us, a dim sum lunch and artist talks were held in the Grand Luxe Hall. Exhibiting artists Aleesa Cohene, Richard Ibghy, Marilou Lemmens, Jayce Salloum, and Jin-me Yoon were in attendance, and curator Liz Park began by introducing her approach in seeking works that engaged with migration, immigration, and the politicization of borders. She highlighted her choice of only curating video works, attributing how the medium can capture documentation of movement and bodily relationality. Each artist spoke about their work and their broader practice. Participants engaged in an open conversation, posing questions to the artists and as well discussing amongst each other the ideas and concerns brought forward in this gathering and exhibition.

Video documentation of this event is available upon request.
