Sisso & Maiko are a DJ and producer duo based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Their work embodies singeli’s hyperlocal scene, distilling the vitality and struggles of life on the edges of their hometown into a sound that remains cool amid chaos. Their work draws from UK happy hardcore, Chicago footwork, Caribbean soca, and Shangaan disco, yet retains a uniquely psychotomimetic pull.
