Michele Rosewoman

Michele Rosewoman is a jazz pianist, composer, bandleader, and educator born in Oakland, and based in New York City, United States. Her work aims to expand the horizons and boundaries of jazz while remaining firmly rooted in tradition. She is the leader of the ensemble New Yor-Uba, which presents a synthesis of contemporary and avant-garde jazz, and traditional Cuban folkloric music.
