Patricia Gruben

Bio:

Patricia Gruben is a filmmaker and educator born in Chicago, United States and based in Vancouver, Canada. She has written and directed experimental narrative shorts, dramatic features, and feature-length documentaries. She also works as a script consultant and screenwriter, and has published several articles and book chapters on Canadian filmmakers, screenplay structure, and adaptation. Gruben was a founding director of the Praxis Centre for Screenwriters at Simon Fraser University, where she also taught courses in film production, screenwriting, and film studies, specializing in nonlinear narrative and Indian cinema.
