Tawhida Tanya Evanson

Bio:

Tawhida Tanya Evanson is a poet, performer, producer, and Ashik based in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal, Canada) on the traditional territories of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation. Her practice spans spoken word and music, with works taking the form of publications, albums, performances, and videopoems. She is president of the Quebec Writers' Federation and director of Mother Tongue Media, which produces interarts projects.
