Alison Yip

Bio:

Alison Yip is an artist born in Calgary, Canada, based in The Netherlands. Often working from the psycho-phenomenal origins of figuration, her multidisciplinary practice engages painting, wall treatments, writing, and sculpture. Using popular imagery, decorative elements, recurring actors, and everyday materials, her work evokes the commonplace sites of such uncanny or transitional states and moves playfully through various styles of representation and pictorial modes. Yip is represented by Monte Clark Gallery, Vancouver.
