Billy-Ray Belcourt

Bio:

Billy-Ray Belcourt is a writer and academic from the Driftpile Cree Nation, based in Vancouver, Canada. Belcourt is an assistant professor and Canada research chair in the School of Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia. His debut book of poems This Wound is a World (2017) won multiple awards including the 2018 Griffin Poetry Prize. Belcourt’s creative writing is represented by CookeMcDermid, Toronto.
