Lisa Walker

Bio:

Lisa Walker is a musician and composer based in Vancouver, Canada. From studying the interlocking rhythms of African drum patterns to working with SETI researchers and artificial intelligence, Walker’s practice applies an understanding of human music to investigate the structure and syntax of humpback whale songs. Her compositions are her laboratory, with the goal of developing a lingua franca to communicate with the singing whale.
