Jeremy Dutcher

Bio:

Jeremy Dutcher is a Two-Spirit musician, composer, musicologist, and activist from the Tobique First Nation, based in Montréal, Canada. A classically trained operatic tenor, Dutcher’s work emerges from archival research into recordings of traditional Wolastoq songs from his home community. His practice involves sampling, embodying, rearranging, and performing this material on piano, bringing a hybrid resonance to language revitalization.
