Kimia Koochakzadeh-Yazdi is a composer and performer from Tehran, Iran, based in Vancouver, Canada. She writes for hybrid instrumental and electronic ensembles, creates electroacoustic and audiovisual works, performs live electronic music, and collaborates with artists working in dance, film, and theatre. Her work is driven by the concepts of motion, interaction, and growth in both human life and in the sonic world.
