James Luna

Bio:

James Luna was an Indigenous and Mexican-American artist and educator who lived in the La Jolla Reserve in California, United States. Through performance, photography, and installation, Luna utilized objects, references to American popular culture, and his own body in his work. His practice made frequent use of institutional critique, comedy, and theatre and confronted themes of colonialism, violence, sexuality, and identity.
