Michael Century

Bio:

Michael Century is a musician and scholar based in New York, United States. In addition to performing as a pianist and conductor, Century has composed for computer-processed voice, chamber music combinations, and rock and jazz groups. He has written and lectured extensively on computer and electroacoustic music, minimalism, post-modernism, the semiology of music, the work of Glenn Gould, inter-arts production, and cultural policy. Long associated with The Banff Centre for the Arts, Century founded their media arts program, and held the position of director of program development.
