Barre Phillips

Bio:

Barre Phillips was an American jazz bassist and improviser. Born in San Francisco, Phillips was based in New York and the south of France over the course of his career. He became an important figure in the European experimental and free jazz renaissance. In addition to performing as a soloist Phillips also played in various ensembles, and has composed scores for a number of films.
