Notice

Western Front will be closed to the public from April 2 to May 3, 2023.

During this period we will be busy with the installation of our next exhibition and renovations of our archives and AV studios. The renovations of our archives and AV studios are being undertaken to increase access to and preservation of our archival holdings, to upgrade the working environment for staff and artists, and to restore heritage features within this part of the building. These renovations are made possible through the support of the BC Arts Council’s Arts Infrastructure Program.

We look forward to welcoming you back on May 4, 2023 for the launch of a monthly reading series with The Capilano Review and on May 6, 2023 for the opening of a solo exhibition by Sol Hashemi.

In the meantime, Western Front’s staff remain available to answer any enquiries during regular office hours.

A black and white photography of a narrow hallway with a run of five dark wooden doors on the lefthand side and a row of workbenches and shelves hung close to the ceiling on the right hand side. A number of posters, drawings and photographs can be seen pinned to the wall, while paper files, folders, and slide carousels and boxes can be seen on the bench tops and shelves. The hallway is brightly lit from above by fluorescent lights.
