Eugene Chadbourne is a musician, composer, and music critic based in North Carolina, United States. Known for his irreverent approach and experimental sound, his practice spans free jazz improvisation and avant-rock. He is recognized for his use of extended techniques on guitar and banjo, as well as for inventing the electric rake, an instrument created by attaching an electric guitar pickup to a metal rake.
