Seán Virgo

Bio:

Seán Virgo is a poet and fiction writer based in Eastend, Saskatchewan, whose work is deeply informed by a life shaped through migration and shifting geographies. Born to an Irish family in Mtarfa, Malta, Virgo grew up in South Africa, Malaysia, Ireland, and the United Kingdom before emigrating to Canada in 1966 to teach at the University of Victoria. His subsequent movements—living for a time in Connemara, Ireland, on Haida Gwaii, British Columbia, in Topsail, Newfoundland, and later returning to British Columbia—have been formative to his practice.
