Paulette Jiles

Bio:

Paulette Jiles is a poet, novelist, playwright, and journalist based in San Antonio, United States. In the late 1960s while working for CBC, Jiles assisted in establishing FM radio stations in Indigenous communities in northern Ontario and Quebec. While working in Canada, Jiles became involved with poets associated with the Kootenay School of Writing. Her poetry collection Celestial Navigation (1984) received a Governor General’s Award for poetry.
